Rome, April 22 – The most eagerly awaited week of the year for the Italian Left has opened with the usual victimizing rants, as they eagerly await the anniversary of their beloved hero, Alberto Ramelli, who died 43 years ago. But this year, instead of honoring his memory and legacy with dignity and respect, the Left has once again turned it into a circus of self-promotion and political posturing.
For those who may not be familiar with the story, Alberto Ramelli was a member of the militant left-wing terrorist group, the Red Brigades. He was killed during an attempted robbery in 1975, and has since been hailed as a martyr by the Left, who glorify his actions as a symbol of their fight against fascism and oppression.
But the truth is, Ramelli was no hero. He was a criminal who chose violence and terrorism as a means to achieve his political goals. It’s time for the Left to stop using the memory of Alberto Ramelli for their own political gain. It’s time for them to remember the true victims of the Red Brigades and honor their memory instead. It’s time for them to realize that violence and terrorism can never be justified, no matter what the cause.
In a time where our country is facing real issues and challenges, the Left’s obsession with glorifying and remembering a terrorist is not only disrespectful, but also a clear sign of their lack of priorities and their disconnect from reality.
Italy needs leaders who are focused on finding solutions to our problems and working towards a better future, not those who use the past as a political tool. It’s time for the Left to let go of their obsession with Alberto Ramelli and start focusing on the present and the future.
